Pathway to Possibilities

It was amazing to witness the power of our community at our 8th annual Evening of Choice!

Throughout the evening, we had the opportunity to reflect on our 'Pathway to Possibilities' from exploring the impact of our programming to hearing directly from one of our past participants and her remarkable journey of growth and transformation.

We wanted to take a moment to thank our speakers:

  • Kia Franklin (CHOOSE 180 Board Member)

  • Fawzi Belal (CHOOSE 180 Board Member)

  • Sean Goode (Former CHOOSE 180 Executive Director)

  • Cemal Ford (Director of Community Engagement)

  • Derrick Wheeler-Smith (City of Seattle Director of Office For Civil Rights)

  • Nneka Payne (CHOOSE 180 Executive Director)

  • Jimmy Hung (CHOOSE 180 Board Member)

  • ShaDiamon Barnes (CHOOSE 180 Youth and Young Adult Advocacy Program participant)

Together, we spoke about sharing power, enhancing support for our young people, and the incredible growth ahead for CHOOSE 180.

We also took a moment to honor the late Doug Wheeler Jr. and his enduring legacy, which continues to inspire and guide our work. The evening was a reminder of the vital role each of us plays in supporting youth and uplifting our communities.

If you weren't able to attend, you can still participate by watching the recording or supporting our pathways to possibilities for young people.

Shout-out to Remove the Gap Productions, The Elite Collective, and all of our sponsors for making it an evening to remember.

Looking forward:

CHOOSE 180 is developing a 5-year strategic plan to guide our path forward. We invite you to participate by sharing your thoughts! Thank you again for being part of this journey. Together, we are creating a pathway to endless possibilities.
