Restorative Community Pathways
Youth Empowerment, Justice for AlL
Restorative Community Pathways is a community response to harm that focuses on healing, restoration, and accountability. It’s a pre-court diversion program available to youth accused of first-time felony offenses throughout King County. Young people are partnered with a community navigator who connects them to opportunities and resources. Rather than being prosecuted through the punitive and harmful court system, RCP partners with youth and those impacted to address needs and provide them with community support and healing.
The program is a partnership between six local nonprofit organizations: CHOOSE 180, Collective Justice, Congolese Integration Network, Creative Justice, East African Community Services, and the Pacific Islander Community Association of Washington (PICA).

The process:
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office refers a case to RCP.
A referral administrator matches the young person to a navigator.
The navigator conducts outreach and intake processes.
The navigator builds a connection, sets goals, provides support, and connects them with other needed resources such as assistance with bills, work, or school.
They stay connected as the young person makes progress toward their goals and no longer needs additional support, generally 3-6 months.
Eligibility: Most young people are referred to CHOOSE 180 through our partnership with the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Community referrals are also accepted on a case-by-case basis.
How to sign up: If you’re interested in referring a young person or getting involved, please fill out the Community Referral Form.
